Mちゃんとスタールビーのリング

 

滋賀のお友達、遠方でたまにしか会えないのだけど、会う度に会っていなかった時間を埋め合わせてくれるだけの元気と笑顔をくれる最強の人、Mちゃん。
そのMちゃんのオーダーで、スタールビーのリングを作りました。

スタールビーは光があたると中にキラリと星が見られる特別なルビーです。
石によって星の形も、反射光の強さも違います。
Mちゃんは自分で最高の石を見つけるために、有休をとって東京まで来てくれました！
ジュエリータウン御徒町といえど、スタールビーを持っている石屋さんはそれほど多くなく、午前中歩き回ってめぼしいところは三軒しか見つかりませんでした。
その三軒を二巡りして、色よし、中に見える星もスマイルマークに見えるのでよし、サイズもよし、ということでこの石に決定。写真ではわかりにくいのですが、濃いピンク色でころりんとして可愛らしい子です。

リングの部分はいたってシンプル。
シルバーでぽこりんと石が顔を出しているデザインです。

このリングが末永くMちゃんとともにありますように！

 This ring is made for my special friend, M. She lives in Shiga (next to Kyoto), a bit far a way from where I live therefore we can merely see each other.  But when I see her, she gives a huge amount of energy and smiles, enough to compensate the time that we missed.

So she wanted to make a ring with a star ruby, which is a kind of ruby with star in it.  Depends on the piece the shape or intensity of the star changes.  To find the stone she really looks for, she took one day off and came all the way to Tokyo!

We went to Okachimachi, where almost everything about jewelry and gem stones, however we only could found three shops that have star rubies.  After go and back among these three shops M finally made her mind, she chose the one has strong red-pink color with stars, with which makes the stone look like a smiley face.  For most important, M was 100% satisfied with the stone she chose.

The ring is quite simple, it is made in silver.

M told me that she was going to wear it everyday as her amulet, I hope it brings her a lot of nice things to her life...

Este anillo lo he hecho para una amiga muy importante para mi, M. Ella vive en Shiga (al lado de Kyoto), un poquito lejos de donde vivo yo, y por esa distancia que llevamos nos podemos vernos muy de veces en cuando.  Aun así cuando nos veamos me da mucha energía y sonrisas siempre, como si está cubriendo el tiempo que no nos veíamos.  Es gran persona.

Pues M quería hacer un anillo con un rubí de estrella, es un tipo de rubí pero se puede ver una o dos estrellas dentro de la piedra.  Como se ve la estrella y la intensidad de ella es depende de la pieza.  Entonces M, cogió un día libre y vino a Tokio viajando casi 500km para encontrar una piedra perfecto para ella!

Nosotras fuimos a Okacimachi, es un barrio donde hay muchos negocios y tiendas relacionadas con joyería.  Andamos 3 horas pero no pudimos encontrar más de tres tiendas que tienen rubí de estrella.  Luego damos dos vueltas entre estas tres casas  y al final M se tomó la decisión de coger una que le ha gustado más.  Es una que tiene color fuerte y bonito con dos estrellas que le hace parecer la piedra como un "smile".

Lo más importante es que ella estaba 100% contenta con la que ha elegido.

El diseño del anillo es algo sencillo, está hecho en plata. 

M me dijo que lo llevaría siempre como su amuleto.  

Espero que le traiga muchas cosas bonitas a su vida... 

ピルケース★ Custom made Pillcase

こちらはいつもお世話になっているＩさんのご注文。カスタムメイドの真鍮製ピルケースです。
いつも持ち歩かれるということでキーホルダー仕様です。
モチーフはケルトのドラゴン。「健康」、「強さ」のシンボルです。（同じドラゴンがロゴになっているアイルランド?ビールがありました。）緑の石はマラカイト。緑色の石は健康に良いという風水の習わしに従いました。

小さめのアメが12‐3個ほど入るサイズです。
箱ものを作るのは久しぶり、そして楕円形は初でしたが何とかうまくできました!
フタもきっちりと閉まります。

ロウ付けのあとが銀色に残ってしまっていたので全体的にめっきをかけようかとも思ったのですが、Ｉさんと相談の結果、「アンティーク味」としてそのまま残して貴金属用のラッカーのみ、かけることになりました。
外側がマットな仕上げ、内側はピカピカ仕上げです。

This is a custom made Pillcase with key chain for my V.I.P. customer Mr. I, it is made of brass with Celtic dragon as a symbol of health and power.  (I casually encountered an Irish? beer with the same dragon in its logo the other day.) The green stone is a malachite, as feng shui says that green stone is good for health.

It is capable to put 12 or 13 small candies in it.

It has been a long time since the last time I had made a case or a box, and was the first time to make it in oval however I had done it!  It closes tightly!  ;)

I thought of plating it as it can be seen the welding in silver color, but after talking with Mr. I and he told me to leave it as it looks nicely 'antique', so it is finished with only a lacquer.

Out side is mat, inside is quite shiny.

Esta es un pastillero con la cadena de llavero hecha por un encargo para mi cliente V.I.P., Sr. I.  Esta hecho en latón, con el motivo de dragón céltico como el símbolo de la salud y la fuerza. (casualmente, he tomado una cerveza irlandés? con el logo de mismo dragón otro día.) La piedra verde es malaquita, he hecho caso a feng shui que las piedras verdes son buenas para la salud.

Caben 12 o 13 calameritos pequenos.
Hace tiempo que no hacia cajas o algo parecido, y esto fue la primera vez que lo he hecho en oval, pero ha salido nada mal, cierra bien y todo! ;)

Pense hacerle un baño de latón como se ven mucho la soldadura en el color plateado, sin embargo después de consultarlo al Sr. I que me dijo que no hacía falta, se ve bien 'antiguo' tal cual asi que le puse nada mas que una laca para metal. 
He dejado mate por fuera, brillante por dentro.

すっかりご無沙汰してしまいました。これからはもう少し頻度を上げてブログを書こうと思います・・・。

こちらは石をお預かりしてオーダーメードでお作りしたペンダントとリングです。

両方ともトルコ石ですが、何十年か前にトルコに旅行に行かれた際、現地でお買い物になられたものだそうで、特にリングの方は見事なターコイズ・ブルーでした。
通常市場に出ているものでそこそこ安価なものはトルコ石を粉にして、練り合わせたものが多いです。きれいに仕上げてしまえば練り物でない、原石を磨いたものとほとんど見分けはつかないのだそうで、一度お店の方に見分け方を聞いたところ「値段ですね。」とひとこと。・・・じゃあ、練り物でも高く売られている場合は見分けられないんだろうか？
どなたかトルコ石の見分け方に詳しい方、ご教授下さい。★★★

ペンダントトップの石は4,5cm x 3,5cmというかなりの大型で、なぜかうねりのあるカットでした。うねりに合わせて枠の後ろに窓を開けました。石だけでも結構重さがあるので枠はミニマムなデザインに。

リングにした石は裏側にうっすらと母岩もついていて、とってきた原石をそのまま磨いたようでした。3,5cm x 2,2cmのこちらもなかなかの大型。この色でこの大きさだときっと高価だったのでは、と思わずにいられません。大きな石にはリング部分もしっかりとしたものを。

石をお預かりしてのご注文は毎回、素敵な石に巡り会えるので作り手としてはとてもありがたいことだと思います。特に今回のような「遠い異国の地」からやってきた石というのは、なんだかロマンがあって私もその度のお裾分けをいただいたような気分になります。

It has been a while since the last time I wrote... I should do this more frequently otherwise people will forget about me.. :P

These jewelries were made to order for a lady who had been to Turkey 'about twenty years ago' says she, where she bought these turquoise stones.  I was impressed for their superb turquoise blue (especially the one for the ring) and how big they were (especially the other one for the pendant).
Quite many of cheaper turquoise stones are made of paste, they are not synthetics as long as they are made of real turquoise, however they have less value than those are made from cut and polished ores.  Although when they are finished so well that you can hardly tell that it is made of paste.  Once at the stone shop the seller told me that the only way to distinguish the paste turquoise from the 'authentic', is 'the price'...  For me this seems a bit unreliable, if you know any better way please let me know!

The stone used for a pendant top is 4,5cm x 3,5cm, in a wavy shape.  I made the frame with four windows on its back to fit the dents.

And the other stone used for a ring is 3,5cm x 2,2cm, came with its mother stone slightly on its back.  For this precious color and the size, I assume that this stone should have cost pretty much...  mmm.


I always enjoy to make jewelries to order, for me it is an exciting opportunity to meet beautiful stones and especially if they are brought from a far, oversea country like these turquoise, it gives me a romantic feelings as if I experienced the same voyage.

Hace un poco de tiempo desde la última entrada ... Debería escribir más a menudo antes de que me olvidan .. :P
Estas joyas las hice para un encargo para una señora que había viajado a Turquía "hace unos veinte años" decía ella, fue donde y cuando compró estas turquesas preciosas. Me impresionó por su excelente color azul turquesa (especialmente el del anillo ) y lo grandes que eran (sobre todo el otro para el colgante ) .
Mayoría de las turquesas que venden más baratos están hechos de pasta, no son sintéticos mientras que están hechos de polvos de la turquesa real, pero tienen menos valor que los que están hechos de la autentica piedra, tallándola y puliéndola. Aunque a veces están terminados tan bien que casi no se puede decir que está hecho de una pasta.  Una vez me dijo la vendedora de las piedras (que la conozco bien) que la única manera de distinguir la turquesa hecha de pasta de la "auténtica", es "el precio". ... Esto me ha parecido poco fiable, si alguien sabe otra manera mejor por favor infórmame!
La piedra usada para el colgante mide 4,5 cm x 3,5 cm, en la forma ondulada. He abierto cuatro ventanitas detrás, siguiendo a su forma.

Y la otra piedra usada para el anillo es de 3,5 cm x 2,2 cm, venía con una capa finita de la piedra de la madre detrás de ella. Por su color tan azul y el tamaño, no puedo evitar de imaginar que esta piedra debe haber costado bastante ... mmm.
Siempre me encanta hacer joyas por encargo, para mí es una gran oportunidad para conocer a las piedras preciosas y sobre todo si son traídos de una tierra tan lejos como estos turquesa, me da un sentimiento romántico como si yo hubiera hecho el mismo viaje.
