先日の「モノマチ＆デザビレ施設公開」は大盛況に終りました。３日間で１万人近くのご来場があったそうです。お忙しい中来ていただいた方々、ありがとうございました！

今回は新作リングのご紹介です。
アクアマリンのシルバー製、大振りリングです。
この石、古いブラウン管のような、角丸の四角い形が大好きです！ 意外と見つからないんですね、このカット。

石の周りからサイドにかけて鳥と植物のレリーフになっています。
石に向かって左側には飛んでいる鳥、右側には果物をくわえた鳥が振り向いている様子が彫り込まれています。
こちらは一点ものですが、同じデザインでオーバルのムーンストーンでも作ってみたいなあと思っています。

Today I would like to show you a new ring.

A big, silver made ring with aquamarine stone.

I love this round squared, like an old, television picture tube shape (called "antique cabochon cut"), however they are merely found in the market.

There are two birds and plants carved on the sides of the ring.  On its left side you can see a flying bird, then on the other side there is another bird looking back with some fruits on its bill.  
This is an unique piece, but I'm already thinking to make another ring with same design and probably with oval moonstone.

Hoy  me gustaría presentarles un anillo nuevo.

Está hecho en plata con una piedra de aguamarina.

A mi me gusta este tipo de talla de la piedra que se llama "antiguo cabujón", cual es cuadrado redondo como la tele antigua. Pero quizá no es muy popular, no encuentro muchas piedras talladas en esta forma en el mercado.

Se ven dos pájaros y algunas plantas tallados en los lados del anillo.  Hay un pájaro volando en el lado izquierdo y en su derecho hay otro girando la cabeza hacía atrás con unas frutas en su pico.

Este anillo es la pieza única, pero ya estoy pensando de hacer otro en el mismo diseño, probablemente con la piedra de la luna ovalada.

 昨年まで３年の間、私もお世話になった「台東デザイナーズビレッジ」で今年も施設公開に参加します！
施設公開、とは毎年２回、台東デザイナーズビレッジに入居しているデザイナーたちが自分のアトリエを一般公開し、みなさんにデザイナーズビレッジやブランドの活動を知っていただこう！というイベントです。
アトリエ公開以外にも展示販売やワークショップなど、楽しい企画が盛りだくさんです。
また、同時期間、同エリアでモノマチという東東京のもの作りを紹介するイベントも開催されていますので3日間では見切れない程のボリュームです。
「手作り」、「デザイナーズ」、「クリエイター」ときいておもしろそう！という方は是非遊びにきて下さい。

mjouxは２階、205号室のsasaki hitomiさんのアトリエにて展示販売をいたします。
新作も出展します！（写真をアップしたいのですがなかなか追いつかず・・・）

You may want to check MONOMACHI, an art&design festival held at same area and same weekend!  In this area is known as an antique central part of Tokyo and also for the manufacturers who dedicate themselves for traditional goods such as paper works, jewelry, urushi (Japanese lacquer), tanner etc..  On the other hand, recently many new artists and designers have started moving in this area looking for cheaper rent and quieter atmosphere.  So there is an interesting mix of culture here in this area, and they get together (even collaborating to make new products!) to carry out this project of MONOMACHI.  It is getting a new center of culture like Soho or Berlin. :)

Como llegar

Habrá otro evento que se llama MONOMACHI por la misma fecha y en el mismo barrio. 
El barrio de Ueno-Asakusa ha sido antiguo centro de Tokyo, y aún quedan muchos talleres de los artesanos de los productos tradis de Japón como trabajos de papel, joyería, urushi (laca japonesa), curtido etc..  Por otro lado, los artistas y diseñadores jóvenes empezaron venir a este barrio buscando locales más baratos y tranquilidad.  Así está creando una mezcla de cultura muy interesante ahora. Este evento de MONOMACHI es un proyecto por/para los artistas tradis y nuevos, colaborando entre ellos.  Verán que esta zona está convirtiendo al nuevo centro de cultura como Soho o Berlín.  :)

オーダーメイドのネックレス ★ Made to Order Necklace

スペインの友人、Mちゃんよりおばあさまの残されたアメジストの石でネックレスを作ってほしい、との依頼を受けました。
チェーンはBAZAARシリーズのものを使って、というご指定だったのでデザインはほぼBAZAARが下敷きになっています。紫の石なので金色との相性はよいですね。好きな組み合せです。
チェーンは真鍮ですが、石枠はシルバー製に金めっきをかけています。
背面に☆型のマドを開けました。隠れたオシャレです！

長さは40cm。ロックっぽいファッションで重ね付けをしたり、逆にエレガントなドレスと合わせてもアクセントになっていいかもしれません★

Made this necklace for my friend M, with an Amethyst stone that she brought to me a couple of months ago, which was left by her grand mother.

She wanted it with the same chain used on BAZAAR series, so the design for this necklace is modeled after BAZAAR necklaces.  

The purple color of the stone matches well with gold color, I like the combination very much. 

This chain is made of brass, though I made the collet with silver with gold plating.

It has star-shaped window on the backside.

The necklace is 40cm long, goes well with rock fashion or even on an elegant dress.★

Este collar está hecho por pedido de una amiga M, hace unos meses ella me ha traído una amatista que le ha dejado su abuela.

Dijo que le gusta la cadena de la serie BAZAAR

así que el diseño para este collar está basado a los collares de la misma serie.

El color lila de la piedra queda bien con la cadena del color dorado, es una combinación que me gusta.

La cadena está hecho de latón, pero he hecho el marco de la piedra en plata bañada en oro.

Detrás está calado una estrella. 

El collar es 40cm aprox., queda bien con look rock-punk o incluso un vestido elegante.★

アンティークの指輪にヒントを得たデザインです。

石の周りの粒が泡のようなので名付けて”Bubble Ring（バブルリング）”。

肌色映えのする鮮やかなブルーとグリーンの2色があります。

シルバー製で、ゴールドのめっきがかけてあります。

石の色と合わせて、ブルーはピンクゴールド、グリーンはイエローゴールドとなっています。写真では微妙な色の差ですが、わかりますでしょうか？

These rings are called Bubble Ring, they are made of silver with candy pop color stones.

The blue one is with turquoise agate set on pink gold plated silver, and the green one is with chrysoprase on yellow gold plated silver. 

mjoux has started selling at Creema (it is Japanese site similar to Etsy) recently, Bubble Ring are available there, too!

 Estos anillos se llaman Bubble Ring (por los granitos que se parecen como burbujas), están hechos de plata y piedras de color de caramelitos.  El azul es de ágata turquesa puesto en el anillo de plata plateado con oro rosado, y el verde es de crisoprasa con el anillo de plata plateado con oro amarillo.

mjoux ha empezado vender en Creema (es un sitio de web japonés parecido a Etsy) recientemente, estos Bubble Ring están disponible allí también.

映画「共犯者たち」/ A film "The Accomplices"

 

新進女流映画監督の岨手 由貴子さんの新作「共犯者たち」です。

今月の21〜25日開催の「ゆうばり国際ファンタスティック映画祭2013」に正式出展される作品です。公開にさきがけてスカパーで放映されます！
こちらの作品にmjouxのジュエリーも登場します！（私はまだ作品を見ていませんが・・・）どの作品がでるのかはお楽しみ★　（上のイメージに写っているパールネックレスはmjouxではありませんヨ。）

放映はBSスカパーにて21日（木）の深夜1:05から。

Yukiko Sode, a young, successful woman director has released a new short film called "The Accomplices", which is officially presented at Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival 2013 (21st-25th this month).  The good news is you can watch this film on Skyperfectv (a pay channel) before the presentation!  Phenomenon! Unfortunately I cannot watch this channel neither cannot go to Yubari (Hokkaido)...

Some of mjoux's jewelies are worn in this film, please check! (The pearl necklace in the image above is not mjoux, though.) 

Those who has Skyperfectv, it is on 21st (thu) , 1:05 midnight!

 Yukiko Sode, una directora de cine joven va a presentar un corto que se llama "Los Cómplices" en el Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Yubari 2013 (el día 21-25 de este mes).  La buena noticia es que pueden verla en Skyperfectv (un canal de pago) antes de la presentación.  ¡Fenomenal!  Infortunadamente no tengo este canal en mi casa y no puedo ver, ni puedo ir a Yubari (Hokkaido)...

En esta película sale algunas joyas de mjoux! (pero no el collar de perlas de la imagen arriba.)

Superman, Batman でおなじみのDC Comicsからこんなものも！

このたびは結婚指輪を二種類ご紹介いたします。

最終的には四型つくる予定ですが、いまのところ二型（途中経過）です。

結婚指輪のデザインは、実はかなり前から取り組んでいたのですがなかなか納得がいくものができず、今回やっと二型までできた！というところです。

通常、色石の入った大きめのリングばかり作っている自分にとっては「普段つけるのに邪魔にならず、しかも一生飽きないデザイン」しかも「mjouxらしいもの」というのはなかなか難しい課題でした・・・、　　　が！　去年、シェイクスピアの本を読んでいたときに「そうだ、四元素をモチーフにしよう」というアイデアが浮かんでからは抵抗なくデザインが決まっていきました。

ということで、四元素＝風、火、水、土。これだと少し色気がないので四精霊（女性の名前）＝Sylph（シルフ）、Salamander（サラマンダー）、Undines（ウンディーネ）、Gnome（ノーム）というシリーズになります。

風は「包み込む愛情」、火は「情熱」、水は「純粋さ」、土は「生命力」のシンボルなので、永遠の愛を誓うリングに添えるメッセージとしても素敵かなと思います。

ここでご紹介しているのはSalamander（上３枚）とSylph（下３枚）です。Salamanderは情熱の火がめらめらとしている様子、Sylphはやわらかな風の様子を表現しています。Salamanderはホワイトゴールド、ピンクゴールド、Sylphはホワイトゴールドとブラックロジウム仕上げですが、イエローゴールドやつや消し、ダイヤを入れたりと色々なバリエーションができます。＊例えば一番下のリングはSylfのイエローゴールド＋つや消し＋ダイヤ入りです。

UndineはSylfを、GnomeはSalamandraを少しアレンジしたものになる予定です。

Here I would like to present two pairs of marriage rings.

I am planning to make two pairs more, so it is going to be a series of four models.

Gee, I had been working on them so long time (years!), it was really difficult for me to design those marriage rings as they have to be "comfortable to wear everyday", cannot be "fed up them through out whole life (theoretically)" and more important, "to be mjoux-like".  As you may know already, I usually make opposite type of rings, big and showy.  

Anyway I was reading one of Shakespeare's one day and the idea of working with "the four elements" came up.  For elements, Sylph for Air, Salamander for Fire, Undines for Water and then Gnome for Earth. 

Sooner after that I had two designs for the rings.  Also sounds beautiful that they have meaning of "love that wraps you like soft, gentle breeze", "passion that lights your heart", "purity and innocent love" or "sharing life and vitality forever", something like that...♥

The pics above are Salamander in white and pink gold and Sylph in white gold and white gold with black rhodium coating.  You can also see in the last two pics a Sylph ring in yellow gold with matte finish with a small diamond. 

Undine will be a version of Sylph and Gnome will be something similar to Salamander with some arrangements.

Me gustaría presentar dos parejas de anillos de matrimonio.

Voy a hacer dos parejas más, así que será una serie de cuatro parejas.

Pues no ha sido nada fácil hacer estos anillos, me ha costado años (!) al final.  Por que tienen que ser cómodos para ponerlos cada día y no se puede cansar con ellos durante toda la vida (en teoría), y lo más importante, tienen que ser "estilo mjoux".  Si ven los trabajos míos, normalmente hago los anillos de estilo totalmente opósito.

Un día estuve leyendo un libro de Shakespeare y me vino la idea de trabajar con los cuatro elementos.  Los cuatro elementos son; Sylph para el aire, Salamander para el fuego, Undines para el agua, y Gnome para la tierra.  Pronto me han ocurrido dos diseños para los anillos.  También suena bonito que cada uno de ellos significan "el amor que te abraza suavemente como una briza", "pasión  que enciende el fuego a tu corazón", "pureza y inocencia de amor" o "compartir la vida y vitalidad para siempre"...♥

Las fotos arriba son de Salamander en oro blanco y oro rosa, y Sylph en oro blanco y oro blanco con el baño de rodio negro.  También pueden ver en las últimas fotos Sylf en oro amarillo con el acabado mate con un diamante pequeño.

Undine será una versión de Sylph, y Gnome será algo parecido a Salamander.

Reverse Ring ☆ リバース・リング

みなさま、新年あけましておめでとうございます。
一部「アルマゲドン」や「世界の終わり」が騒がれたりもしていましたがなんとか無事に2013年が開けましたね！
今年始めにご紹介するのは「リバース・リング」です。なぜ「リバース」かというと、石を逆さまにセッティングしているからです。通常は上が平らで下が膨らんだ（または尖った）形にカットされている石をあえて逆さにセッティングしています。こうするとラフなボリューム感が出て、横から見た形もきれいです。

明るいブルーの石はアクアマリン。こちらは去年一度ご紹介していました。新登場の緑色の石はトルマリンです。写真では写しきれないのですが、両方とも輝きがあり、色も大変上品。ブラジル産の高クオリティーの石です。

サイズはアクアマリンが11号でトルマリンが10号。
リング部分はシルバーで石枠はゴールドです。

ということで、今年もよろしくお願いいたします！

Well, we could passed thru "December of 2012" safely and here we are in 2013!!

I would like to present "Reverse Rings" today. Why "reverse"?  Because the stones are set as bottom side up, the flat top down.   In this way they look in nice egg shape from its side without breaking the curve of the ring.  Add to that, it makes the stones look more rough and voluminous.

The clear blue stone is aquamarine (I have already presented this ring before.) then the dark green stone is tourmaline.  Both of them are from Brazil and please note that they have very good quality.

The size is; the aquamarine ring is #11 and tourmaline is #10.

¡Feliz año nuevo!

Al final no pasó nada el fin de año del 2012, y aquí hemos empezado alegremente el año 2013.   

¡Espero que todos tengan un año sano, lleno de sonrisas y amor! 

Me gustaría presentar estos anillos que se llaman "Reverse Ring (Anillo Revés)". ¿Porque "revés"?  Porque las piedras están puestos revés, la parte abajo para arriba y la parte plana para abajo.  Así queda bien en la forma de huevo sin romper las curvas del anillo, y al mismo tiempo hace las piedras parecer brutas y voluminosas.

La piedra de azul clarito es aguamarina, (de hecho este anillo ya lo había presentado antes) y la verde oscuro es turmalina.  Ambas son de Brasil y se notan que son de muy buena calidad.

Los números de anillos son; el de aguamarina es #11 y el de turmalina es #10.
