現在、バルセロナのCaixa Forumで開催中の『ゴヤ〜光と陰〜』展に行ってきました。
さすがスペインを代表する巨匠とあって、平日の昼間に行ったのに混雑してました。
あまりに混んでいたので別の日に出直し、2日かけて見ました。
今回は油絵、版画など96点が 盛りだくさんで展示されていて、もう大満足の内容。
私が好きな『黒い絵』はありませんでしたが、『Caprichos』の版画シリーズや、有名な所では『着衣のマハ』も来ていました。
ゴヤに限らずですが、油絵というのはやはりナマで見てみないと大きさ、色、筆致などわからないものです。
ゴヤに関しては顔や背景などささっとソフトなタッチなのですが、レースやシルクのツヤ感などがものすごい細かさで、しかし結構厚塗りで描かれているので驚きました。2枚目の写真、『La duquesa de Alba y "la Beata"』では手前の女性の黒いレースが思わず本物かと手を触れてしまいそうなくらい立体的に描かれています。
『Caprichos』は当時の世相を風刺した版画の連作で、シュールな作風がおもしろいシリーズです。
『ゴヤ』展の隣の館では『ドラクロワ展』が同時開催されています。というのも、ドラクロワの作風にゴヤが大きく影響しているので、作品を見比べてみよう、という趣旨なんだそうです。
贅沢ですよね！しかも入場は無料です。

Even though it was midday of weekday it was pretty crowded, so I just saw the first half and then got tiered, went back the other day to finish it.
In fact the exposition is quite voluminous, there were 96 works of oil paintings and engravings of Goya including the famous The clothes Maja and the engraving series Caprichos.
Generally you cannot tell their real size, color or touches of oil paintings until you see them 'in live'. Regarding to Goya's paintings, they seem as if they were painted with soft and roughly touch, however if you get closer, it can be seen that the details of clothes such as laces and the surface of silk, are impressively worked with extremely fine lines and great carefulness.
At La duquesa de Alba y "la Beata", the second photo above, the black lace on the skirt of the lady in front is actually painted with generous quantity of paints. It seem so real, that makes you want to touch it.
Caprichos are a set of prints that satirizes the society of that time he lived, they are humorous but acidic at same time. I assume that Goya enjoyed drawing them.
Next to this exposition of Goya, there is another fantastic exposition "Delacroix" is held. The meaning of this simultaneous event is to compare the works and tendency of those two great artists because Delacroix had received great influence from Goya.

He ido a la exposición de Goya - Luces y sombras- en Caixa Forum Barcelona.
Estaba lleno aunque fuéramos en un medio día de entre semana, así que el primer día solo vimos la mitad y volvimos otro día para terminarlo.
De hecho la exposición es bastante voluminosa, exponen 96 obras de pinturas y grabados de Goya incluido la famosa La maja vestida y los Caprichos, una gran serie de grabados.
Generalmente en el caso de las pinturas, nos cuesta imaginar el tamaño real, los colores o toques de pincel hasta que las veamos en directo. Respecto a las pinturas de Goya, parece que están pintadas con los toques suaves y más bien rápido, pero se acerca más verá que los detalles como los encajes o la textura de seda están pintados en las líneas sumamente finas y con mucho cuidado.
En La duquesa de Alba y "la Beata", la segunda foto que he puesto arriba, los encajes negros de la falda de la dama delante, están pintado con generosa cantidad de pintura aunque las líneas sean extra finas, con lo cual le dan mucho relieve a la falda. Se ve tan real que hace querer a tocarlos.
Los Caprichos es una serie de grabados que satiriza la sociedad del tiempo en que vivía él, son cómicos pero picante a la vez. Me imagino que el pintor se lo divirtió trabajando en ellos.
Al lado de esta exposición de Goya, está haciendo otra exposición de "Delacroix". Como se lo admitió él mismo, Delacroix ha recibido mayoría influencia por Goya. Esta sería una buena oportunidad de poder comparar las obras de esos dos maestros un lado al otro. ¡Además la entrada es gratuito! ¡No la pierdan!
