A Happy New Yearrr!!!

あけましておめでとうございます！

早いものでもう2012。世の中は混沌としておりますが今年も頑張ります。

私事ですが年女です。今年は１月中に3年間お世話になった台東デザイナーズビレッジ を卒業、半年間バルセロナに戻ります。色々と転機の一年になりそうです。良い方に転びますように！

It's so fast that the time passes, can't believe we have reached a 2012 already!

This is a year of Dragon in Chinese astrology and it is my year!!! (I was born in the year of Dragon.)

By the way a "seahorse" is "an illegitimate baby of dragon" in Japanese.

This January I will leave from my atelier at Taito Designers Village where I spent 3 years and going back to Barcelona again for 6 months.  Hope that there are many positive changes, and the world gets a little bit better than now.

Que rápido pasa el tiempo,  no me puedo creer que ya hemos llegado al año 2012!

Este año es el año del Dragón en el astrología chino y es mi año!!! (Yo nací en el año del Dragón.)

Por cierto, "el caballo del mar" es "el ilegítimo de dragón" en japonésç

En enero voy a dejar mi taller en Taito Designers Village donde he pasado 3 años y voy a volver a Barcelona de nuevo por unos 6 meses!  Espero que me esperen muchos cambios positivos y también al mundo que está tan mal.

「Choice Of Your New Style III」いよいよ本日よりスタートです！

きのうは夕方から夜にかけて展示スペースを設営。デザビレ交流サロンがなかなか素敵な空間になりました！

今回リリースの新作をご紹介します。

上は 「Joyful Seahorse Necklace」。クリスマスらしいネーミングにしました。カラフルなビーズに金色のタツノオトシゴがついています。タツノオトシゴはmjouxのシンボルですが、来年の辰年にもひっかけています。小さな王冠を被っています！

去年はタコネックレスがヒットしたので、その続きです。

下はアンティーク調のリングです。シルバーとブラス（真鍮）のものがあります。リングを置いて上から見ると丸に近い形の「Mariquita Ring」（*Mariquita はスペイン語で「てんとう虫」。）と、スカーフを巻いた女の子のように見える「Matyoshka Ring」（*おなじみロシアの入れ子人形、Matryoshka=マトリョーシカ。）です。今まで人気だった形をシリーズ化することにしました。石はガーネット、アメジスト、マラカイトを使っています。

Choice Of Your New Style III starts today!  We finished to set up the exhibition space last night, it looks great now!

I would like to present the new pieces which I'm releasing this time, the fist one is Joyful Seahorse Necklace made of colorful beads and gold plated seahorse (with little crown on it!) on the top.  Seahorse is a symbol of mjoux jewelry, however this time it has more meaning because 2012 is the year of dragon! Note that in japanese, seahorse is "an illegitimate child of dragon".  It is a continuation of last year's Octopus Necklece, too.

Below are Mariquita Rings and Matryoshka Rings made of silver or brass with garnet, amethyst and malachite.  Those names came from the shape of the rings (when you overlook at them), Mariquita means a Ladybird in Spanish, a matryoshka is a famous Russian nesting doll as it looks like a girl wrapped in scarf.

¡Choice Of Your New Style III comienza hoy!  Terminamos de montar el espacio anoche, se ha quedado bien bonito.

Me gustaría presentar una piezas nuevas que estoy lanzando a partir de hoy, la primera es Joyful Seahorse Necklace está hecho con las perlas acrílica y un caballito del mar en dorado, es un poco de la continuación de Octopus Necklace del año pasado.  El caballito del mar es el símbolo de mjoux, además el 2012 es el año de dragón! Porque en japonés, el caballito del mar es "el hijo ilegítimo del dragón".  

Los siguientes son Mariquita Rings y Matryoshka Rings, son de plata o latón con las piedras de granate, amatista y malaquita.  Los nombres vienen de sus formas, cuando los ven desde arriba se ven como mariquita o una chica envuelta en un pañuelo (que me hace recordar de las muñecas tradicionales de rusas).

先日お知らせいたしました、モノマチのイベントもいよいよ明日からです！
期間中、台東デザイナーズビレッジでは施設公開を行っています。
みなさまのお越しをお待ちしております！

さて、mjouxがriyahamとコラボで開発した新商品をご紹介いたします。
この季節に大活躍の「ビーズクリップ」です！スカーフやマフラー留めとして、前開きのジャケットやカーディガンのアクセントとして、さらに夏には帽子と襟留めとしても使えます。クリップ式なのでお洋服を痛める心配もありません。
チェーンの部分にはガラスビーズ、天然石（ホワイトオニキス、マラカイト）を使用しています。短いものが10cm、長いものが17cmです。
お値段はガラスビーズ製のものが2200円〜、天然石のものが4800円〜になります。
こちらのビーズクリップはデザイナーズビレッジの2階201号室、riyahamさんのお部屋にて販売いたします。

MONOMACHI starts tomorow!  And right now I am preparing for the open-atelier of Taito Designers Village.

I will release brand new "Beads Chains with Clips" at this open-atelier, which I designed from the primary idea of riyaham.  These clips can help you to make some arrangements with scarves or open front jackets, even to attach a hat to a collar without damaging your clothing. 

They are made of glass beads, natural stones such as white onyx and malachite combined with metal chains.  The length of the chain is 10cm for the shorter ones and 17cm for the longer ones.  The price for glass chains is from 2200yen and from 4800yen for natural stone chains.  

These "Beads Chains with Clips" will be available at riyaham's showroom, room #201 on the 2nd floor of Taito Designers Village.

¡MONOMACHI comienza mañana!  De momento estoy preparando para el taller abierto de Taito Designers Village.

Voy a sacar "Beads Chains with Clips" a la venta a partir de este taller abierto, cual he diseñado con la idea primaria de riyaham.  Estos clips sirven para dar un toque a sus fulares o chaquetas abiertas, incluso para sujetar un sombrero al collar sin dañar sus ropas.

Están hechos con las perlas de cristal, piedras naturales como ónix blanco y malaquita combinados con las cadenas de metales.  El largo de las cadenas es 10cm para las cortas y17cm para las largas.  Los precios son a partir de 2200yen para las cadenas de cristales y a partir de 4800yen para las de piedras naturales.

Están en la venta en el showroom de riyaham, es la hab.#201 en la 1ª planta en Taito Designers Village.

来週末に台東区御徒町付近で開催されます「モノマチ」というイベントのお知らせです。
「モノマチ」とは今注目のクリエイターと職人のマチ、徒蔵（カチクラ）＝御徒町から蔵前にかけての地域を盛りげるイベントです。
合計220組を超えるクリエイター、職人、メーカー、問屋、飲食店が参加します。
今年５月に開催の際には大変なご盛況をいただきまして、この度第二回目を行う運びとなりました。

「モノマチ」の開催と合わせまして、私がアトリエとして使用させてもらっている台東デザイナーズビレッジでも施設公開を行います。
様々な分野で活躍する19のブランドのアトリエを自由に見学していただけるイベントになります。当日は部屋ごとに商品の販売などもいたします。
2階211号室mjouxではジュエリーの即売＆受注を行います。また、今回は特別ゲスト二組Chubbie.coさんとongosさんをお迎えしてにぎやかに盛り上げます！
みなさまお誘い合わせの上、お気軽に遊びに来て下さい。

Please come and join in MONOMACHI (*sorry, in Japanese only!) next weekend, taking place at eastern Tokyo, around Okachimachi.  This area, located between Ueno and Asakusa is lately attracting attention because now many young creators and designers are moving in, to open their atelier or even shops.  They are opening many neat cafes among old, traditional neighborhood.  So this is probably a good opportunity to get know about what is going on this area, besides we have now the famous 'Tokyo Sky Tree', the highest construction in Japan.

Along with MONOMACHI event we are opening our workspaces at Taito Designers Village (*sorry again, in Japanese only!  It is an incubation center for designers.)  You can look around the workspace of 19 designers from different fields, such as apparel, shoes, jewelry, interior products, etc..  There are special sales, too!! 

At my showroom, room #211 on the 2nd floor, there will be a little shop of mjoux.  Also I am having two designer friends this time, Chubbie.co and ongos, this is surly going to be a fun!

Vengan a MONOMACHI (*lo siento! está escrito en japonés solo!) el próximo fin de semana, teniendo lugar de la parte este de Tokio, alrededor de Okachimachi.  La zona está situado entre Ueno e Asakusa, está llamando más atención últimamente porque muchos creadores y diseñadores jóvenes están entrando para abrir sus talleres e incluso tiendas.  Están abriendo muchos cafés bonitos en el barrio más antiguo y tradicional.  Así que sería buena oportunidad de conocer la zona y las últimas movidas, y además ahora se puede ver el famoso "Tokyo Sky Tree" la construcción más alta de Japón.

Formando una parte de MONOMACHI, abrimos nuestro talleres en Taito Designers Village (*en japonés solo! lo siento de nuevo!) al publico durante dos días.  Pueden visitar a los 19 diseñadores que trabajan aquí, (de moda, calzados, joyería, cosas de la casa, etc..) ¡habrán ventas especiales también!

En mi taller, #211 en 2ª planta, voy a montar una pequeña tienda de mjoux junto con mis amigas diseñadores Chubbie.co y ongos.  Esto va a hacer muy divertido, ¡espero verles allí!  Para los que no pueden venir, voy a subir las fotos desde luego...

Turquoise Jewels

 

ターコイズ（トルコ石）のリングとピアスのシリーズです。

ターコイズは１２月の誕生石です。邪悪なものから身を守ってくれるお守り石として、旅に持って行くと良い、ともいわれています。

写真1枚目と4枚目のリングは以前にも紹介したものの仲間ですが 、トルコから取り寄せた青色の鮮やかなターコイズを使っています。形はボリュームのある、ころんとしたデザインになっています。（写真はサイズ9号です。）

2枚目と3枚目は雫型の小さな石をあしらった華奢なリングです。（写真は7号と9号です。）重ね付けにもオススメです。

A family of turquoise jewels with some rings and piercings.  Turquoise is a birthstone of December, and it is also known as one of the oldest protection amulets, which protect the wearer from negative energies.   For the same reason, it would be good to bring this stone when you travel or, give it to someone who travels.

The ring in the 1st and 4th picture is from the same family that I presented in previous blog, a bright color roughly cut turquoise from Turkey is set in the big silver ring.  (Showing size #9)

In the 2nd and 3rd picture, they are delicate, fine silver rings with small pear shaped stones.  (Showing size #7 and 9)  It would look fine also, to wear together with other rings.

 La colección de turquesa con los anillos y pendientes.  La turquesa es la gema de diciembre, y es conocido por ser uno de los amuletos de protección más antiguos que les proteja a los que lleven desde las energías negativas.  Por lo tanto dicen que sería bueno llevar una turquesa al viaje, o regalarla a alguien que se viaje.

El anillo de la 1ª y 4ª foto es de la misma serie que había presentado en otro blog anterior, una turquesa con el color de azul fuerte montado en un anillo grande de plata.  (muestra de la talla #9)

En la 2ª y 4ª foto, son anillos finos de plata con las piedras pequeñas en la forma de pera. (muestra de las tallas #7 y 9)  Quedará bonito también a poner junto con otros anillos.

現在、開催中の東京デザイナーズウィークと併せて『Spain Alight』というイベントがスペイン大使館でも行われています。ここでは「スペインの光」をテーマにスペインでも最新のインテリアやプロダクト製品が紹介されていて、スペイン人デザイナー達10名も来日しているとか。初日1日と2日にはデザイナー達自らによる講演会もあり、私は2日の「Spain Interiors Alight」という、インテリアデザインについての講演を聞きに行ってきました。

参加していたのはバルセロナとマドリードのデザイナーが５チーム。参考までにWanda Barcelona, air projects, dear design, MERRY, Héctor Ruíz-Velázquez Architecture の５社です。

やはり日光が強いスペインのデザイン。インテリアも光をたくさん取り入れたものが特徴的でした。

インテリアだけではなく、プロダクトデザインや建築も手がけるところがほとんどで、また物件もスペイン国内に留まらずフランス、イタリアなどヨーロッパの他国や遠くはアメリカ合衆国まで、かなり国際的に活躍しているようです。

今回の来日についても、みなさん「日本の企業ともコラボできれば」と意欲的でした。スペイン人の手がけたショップといえば2009年にオープンしたJaime Hayonデザインのカンペール表参道店が記憶に新しいですね。スペインの楽しいデザインがもっと日本に広まるといいなあ。でもせっかくなのでスペイン大使館だけでなく、もっと商業的な展示会でプレゼンができれば効果的ではなかったかなあと思います。

I was at "Spain Interiors Alight" seminar, which took place at Spanish embassy last week.  This is a part of "Spain Alight" exhibition, one of the events from Tokyo Designers Week (1st-6th Nov.).

10 Spanish designers have visited Tokyo for this exhibition, they are all very good and well experienced, most of them have worked on big projects internationally including in UK and US.  It's a bit of shame that their works can be seen only at Spanish embassy although their main purpose of this presentation was to approach Japanese clients, they could have more business opportunity if they presented at more commercial place... 

The designers who participated to the "Spain Interiors Alight" seminar were;  Wanda Barcelona, air projects, dear design, MERRY, Héctor Ruíz-Velázquez Architecture.

The collaboration of a ceramic artist Jaime Hayon and CAMPER Omotesando shop (2009) went quite successful,  Japanese people liked their fun and kitsh design.  So what's next?

Estuve en el seminario "Spain Interiors Alight" en la embajada española, el tema trataba del interiorismo en España.  Es una parte de "Spain Alight" exhibición, uno de los eventos de Tokyo Designers Week (1-6 de noviembre).  

Han venido 10 diseñadores de España, de Barcelona y Madrid, fue un poco de lástima porque sus trabajos solo estaban presentado en la embajada, hubiera tenido más oportunidades de tener más contactos comerciales si había presentado en el lugar más apropiado...  

Los diseñadores que han participado en el seminario "Spain Interiors Alight" fueron;   Wanda Barcelona, air projects, dear design, MERRY, Héctor Ruíz-Velázquez Architecture.

La colaboración de la ceramista Jaime Hayon y CAMPER Omotesando shop (2009) fue un éxito, los japoneses les gustó su diseño tan divertido y kitsh. ¿Pues que viene ahora?
