私の好きな本を７冊紹介します。
随分と前から持っている本もあれば最近気に入って買ったものもあります。
いずれにしてもここに紹介する本は私にとっての「癒し本」であり、想像の源となっているありがたい本ばかりです。

18世紀半ばにオランダ人の博物学者Albertus Sebaが出版した新大陸の博物標本の復刻版です。は虫類、貝類や海の生物を中心に細かな記録画が大量に集成されています。同タイトルで何冊か出版されていますが、私が持っているのはTASCHEN25周年の特別版でお買い得でした。大きな本で5kgくらいありますが引っ越しの度に持ち歩いています。

This is a reprinted edition of animal specimens published in mid 18C by Duch naturalist Albertus Seba. It is a great compilation of his studies with illustrations in color, mainly with reptiles, sea shells and other animals from sea. There are couple of other books published with the same title, the one I have is a TASCHEN's 25th anniversary edition which was sold on special price. Weights about 5kg, but I always take this book along each time I move.

Este libro es una reimpresión de la colección de especímenes animales publicado por Albertus Seba, un zoólogo holandés en la mitad del siglo XXVIII. Es una gran compilación de sus estudios con los dibujos en color, mayoramente sobre los reptiles, conchas y otros animales del mar. Hay otros libros publicados con el mismo título, lo que tengo es una edición especial del 25 aniversario de TASCHEN, que me salió bien del precio. Pesa casi 5kg, pero lo llevo siempre por cada mudanza.

This is a palm sized small book. I bought it on impulse at the cashier of a museum shop, as I was at my travel the size was literally 'handy' to me. A beautiful collection of illustration featuring jelly fishes and sea anemones.

Es un mini libro casi de un palmo. Lo he comprado en la caja de una tienda de un museo, fue un poco impulsivo pero me pareció bonito y como yo estaba de viaje, el tamaño me iba bien también. Son ilustraciones enfocadas a las medusas y anémonas del mar.

Él ha dejado numerosos trabajos esplendidos de ilustraciones, también ha trabajado en otros campos como de moda, diseño de joyería, teatros y más. Yo adoro su estilo elegante y sexy, que no se envejece ni poco aunque sus trabajos ya tienen más de 100 años.

I assume that this is a catalog from a past exhibition of Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum. It presents variety of rings from ancient ages to the 20th century with high quality photographs and detailed explanatory notes. Very informative book.

Supongo que es un catalogo de alguna exposición que fue en el museo de Metropolitan Teien Art en Tokio. Se explica la historia de los anillos desde la edad antigua hasta el siglo XX mostrando una variedad de anillos con las fotos de buena calidad con las notas detalladas. Un libro muy informativo.

フランスのラシネという人が編纂した古代から19世紀までの 図案集です。全部で4冊あるうちの2冊のみ手元にあります。古い本で、そもそも2冊目を母親が持っており、後に1冊目を私が古本屋で買い求めました。文章はなく、ひたすら図案が並んでいます。色使いが豪華な本です。

A collection of decorative motives from ancient age to 19th century (probably published only in Japan). I only have two volumes among four, my mother had the 2nd and later I bought the 1st at second-hand bookshop. There are no texts, just images, however they are in gorgeous colors.

Una colección de motivos decorativos de la edad antigua hasta el siglo XIX (probablemente solo publicado en Japón). Es una serie bastante antigua, tengo solo dos volúmenes entre cuatro, mi madre ya tenía el segundo y luego compré el primero en una librería de segunda mano. No hay textos, solo con las imágenes. Igualmente están en multicolor y la calidad de impresión es muy buena.
