メキシコ・マトリックスオパールと淡水パールのネックレスです。
メキシコ・マトリックスオパールはオパールが母岩に入ったものをそのまま削り出した石です。写真の石の真ん中のオレンジの部分がオパールです。中のオパールだけを取り出して磨いたものはファイヤーオパールと呼ばれる石になります。
間に入り込んだオパールの形は石によって異なりますが、色合いはこの組み合わせが多いようです。なんだかタマゴの様でかわいいですよね。
ペンダントトップの裏側はオパールと同じ形に切り抜かれています。
ちょっとした遊び心です。

A necklace made with Mexican matrix opal and fresh water pearls.
Mexican opals usually occurs in the hard matrix stones called rhyolite, it is frequently cut
with some of the rhyolite still surrounding backing the opal nodule. In the pictures above, the opal is the orange, irregular shaped part. Opal itself can be taken out from matrix stone and polished to be a fire opal.

The shapes of opal differ in each stone, however the combination of these two colors are similar in most of Mexican matrix opals. I find it cute, they seem like eggs.
The backside of the pendant top is cut out in the shape of opal in front face.

Un collar hecho con Ópalo matriz de México y perlas de agua dulce.
Los Ópalos matriz usualmente sucede en las piedras matriz que son bastante duras que se llaman riolita, muchas veces se tallan con la riolita alrededor de ópalo. En las fotos arriba, la parte que tiene el color naranja en la forma irregular es el ópalo. El ópalo solo sin piedra matriz se llama ópalo de fuego.
Las formas de ópalo son distintas en cada piedra, pero la combinación de dos colores son parecidas en mayoría de Ópalos matriz. A mi me parecen muy monos, se ven como los huevitos.
La parte atrás esta tallada en la forma del ópalo en la cara frontal.
Es un detalle pequeñito.
