Special Exhibition for the Renewal of Honkan at Tokyo National Museum & The Art of Rimpa at Idemitsu Museum

東京国立博物館（今は”トーハク”というらしい）の『本館リニューアル記念特別展』と出光美術館の『酒井抱一生誕250年　琳派芸術』の第一部を見て参りました。
 トーハクの特別展では国宝や重要文化財を含む有名な作品の数々が惜しみなく展示されています。多くのものは切手や歴史の教科書で見たことがあるけれど、やはりオリジナルを原寸で目の前にすると感動します。一部を除いて写真撮影も可だったのですが、知らなかったのでカメラも携帯も持っていきませんでした。残念！
目的のひとつは風神雷神図で、実は俵屋宗達の描いたものかと思って行ってみたらここに展示されているのは尾形光琳画でした。（あとで調べたら宗達画は京都国立博物館にあるんですね。）それにしても構図が絶妙です。風神雷神ともいきいきしているし、本当に今にも雨が降りそう。
もう一つの目的は北斎の富嶽三十六景。北斎が各地から富士山を望む風景を描いた代表作で、全部で46シリーズありますが、ここではそのうち22枚が見られました。直にみたのは初めてですが、構図が素晴らしいのはもちろんのこと、人物の顔や草一本一本、波の泡の細かい所までまるで筆で書かれたような表現力に釘付けでした。版画なのに！彫り師の技量に感服。そして青色の鮮やかなのにも驚きました。
出光美術館の『琳派芸術』は俵屋宗達、尾形光琳による蒔絵作品を中心に和歌巻、屏風、尾形乾山の陶芸などが展示されています。どこか西洋風でエレガントな「草花図」屏風が多い中で、光琳の 紅白梅図屏風（写真では左隻のみですが）は大胆ですごい！と思いました。

I have been to Tokyo National Museum and Idemitsu Museum of Arts last week.

There was held a special exhibition named "Celebrating the Renewal of Honkan"at Tokyo National Museum (it has ended on 16th, however) featuring a number of selected master pieces of Japanese art history from their collection, which we had seen at our history classes or as stamps.   It was even allowed to take pictures, but I was not well informed and didn't bring neither camera nor cell phone.  shame!  

The one of the master pieces I wanted to see this time, was the "Wind God and Thunder God (Fujin Raijin)", I thought it was the one painted by Tawaraya Sōtatsu which is the original piece ("Wind God- " had been copied by several artists after Sōtatsu) however it was Ogata Kōrin's version.  Anyhow it was equally great, the composition of the piece is just exquisite, the two gods are so vivid and it looks as if it's going to rain in any minute.  

The other purpose was "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji", the famous series of prints by Hokusai.  The series depicts Mt. Fuji in differing seasons and weather conditions from a variety of different places and distances.   It actually consists of 46 prints in total, there were 22 pieces of them.   It was my first time to see the original,  I was just impressed by the details such as persons' faces, leaves engraved one by one and even tine bubbles of waves.  Those engravers had to have god's hands!  Also amazing the blue color through entire series.
"The Art of Rimpa" at Idemitsu Museum of Art is fearuring the art pieces of Rimpa School presenting the works of Sōtatsu and Kōrin with their Japanese hand scrolls, folded screens and ceramics.   The folded screens are gorgeously painted with flowers on gold leaves and seem rather Western.  Among all I liked "Red Prunes" by Kōrin.  So drastic!

He ido al Museo Nacional de Tokio y al Museo Idemitsu.

Hubo una exposición especial que se llamaba "Celebrando la renovación de Honkan" en el Museo Nacional de Tokio (terminó el día 16) presentando a numerosas obras de arte seleccionadas de su colección, mayoría son las obras maestras de la historia de arte japonés  a cuales conocimos en las clases de historia o impresos en los sellos.   Nos dejaba incluso hacer las fotos pero yo no fui bien informada, no llevaba cámara ni móvil encima.  ¡Una lastima!  

Una obra maestra que quería ver era "Dios de Viento y Dios de Trueno (Fujin Raijin)", pensaba que estaría uno pintado por Tawaraya Sōtatsu cual es la pieza original ("Dios de Viento-" ha sido copiado por varios pintores después), pero esta vez estaba la versión de Ogata Kōrin.  Todas maneras no se pierde nada, es igualmente espectacular, la composición está perfecto y los dos dioses se ven muy vivos, como si va a llover en cualquier momento.

La otro propósito era "Treinta y seis vistas de monte Fuji", la serie de grabados probablemente más conocida de Hokusai.   La serie retrata al monte Fuji visto desde diversas perspectivas y bajo distintas estaciones del año y condiciones climáticas.  La serie compuesta de 46 piesas en total, estaban 22 entre ellos.   Fue la primera vez de verlos en original, ha sido simplemente impresionante verlos en detalles como las caras de personas, hojitas grabados uno por uno, hasta las pequeñas burbujitas de olas. ¡ Esos grabadores debían tener manos de dioses!  También era muchísimo más bonito el color azul en los originales.

"Arte de Rimpa" en el Museo Idemitsu expone las obras de la escuela Rinpa presentando los trabajos de esos maestros como Sōtatsu y Kōrin.   Mayoría de obras son los biombos decorados con pan de oro y los flores pintados encima y las cerámicas.  Por mi gusto "Ciruelos rojos" (la última foto) fue lo mejor, me gustó la composición tan drástica.
