『Big Rings』シリーズのご紹介です。
私が気まぐれに集めている一点ものの裸石を指輪に仕立てたものです。
ほとんどの石は南米の個人でやっている石屋さんから仕入れているので、ほぼ一点ものです。
毎回そのときに素敵だと感じる石を買っているので、自分もどんな石に出会えるのか楽しみです。
量産ものではなく、カットも磨きも手仕事で仕上げられている石はなんともいえない深みがあるのです。

This 'capricious' series of big rings are made with natural gem stones, most of them are unique and less repeatable since it is quite difficult to find exact same gems:

I buy these stones from an Argentine individual provider, who brings a huge quantity of precious and semi-precious gem from Brasil and Argentine just few times in a year, and I never know what he would have brought each time.
It fascinates me to see the variety of beautiful gems and imagine how they can be mounted as a jewelry. Then I choose them carefully, letting the inspiration to guide me...
Normally I keep these gems until I have sufficient time to deal with them or 'capriciously' feel like do something creative.

The hand-finished stones surely show more personality and beauty than mass-produce stones.

Es una serie "caprichosa" de los anillos grandes con las gemas naturales, casi todos son las piezas únicas y menos repetibles por que son únicas las gemas en si y no se puede encontrar las iguales.

Las compro de un proveedor individuo, quien trae una cantidad de piedras desde Brasil y Argentina pocas veces por año, y nunca preveo que tipo de piedras ha traído hasta que él me abra las cajas.

Me quedo fascinada siempre a ver una variedad de gemas preciosas y semi-preciosas, y a imaginar como podría trabajar con ellas. Entonces las elijo con mucho cuidado siguiendo la inspiración...

Muchas veces las compro y guardo hasta que tenga suficiente tiempo para trabajar con ellas o simplemente cuando el capricho me llame.

Estas piedras están pulidas y acabadas con mano, y esa calidez que llevan es nada comparable con las que vienen en la producción en serie.
