12月第３週より、東京の吉祥寺にmjouxのショップがオープンいたします！

吉祥寺Arts & Crafts House という、ジュエリーを中心としたデザイナーさんのアトリエや彫金学校が入っている建物があるのですが、その1階、104号室にmjouxが入ります。
建物の入り口を入ってすぐ正面、右の扉が104号室です、
只今、準備中のためにまだ中の写真はお見せできませんが・・・。
アクセスはこちら！ 

• 吉祥寺駅、北口を降りてすぐに左手に進むとPARCOがあります。
• PARCOを右手にそのまま直進。
• 吉祥寺通りを渡ってLUSHやOSHMANSなどがある人通りの多い商店街を直進。

• その２本先の通りを左折してすぐです。

オープニングパーティーは１月に行う予定です。（この時期、みなさんお忙しいと思うので・・・）

mjoux showroom & shop opens in Kichijoji Tokyo next week!!

I am glad to tell you that mjoux is opening her showroom/shop in Kichijoji!
It will be a part of Kichijoji Arts & Crafts House, in which many jewelry designers have their workshops and there is even a jewelry school. 

mjoux will be in room#104, entering from the main entrance it is just in front!

すっかりご無沙汰してしまいました。これからはもう少し頻度を上げてブログを書こうと思います・・・。

こちらは石をお預かりしてオーダーメードでお作りしたペンダントとリングです。

両方ともトルコ石ですが、何十年か前にトルコに旅行に行かれた際、現地でお買い物になられたものだそうで、特にリングの方は見事なターコイズ・ブルーでした。
通常市場に出ているものでそこそこ安価なものはトルコ石を粉にして、練り合わせたものが多いです。きれいに仕上げてしまえば練り物でない、原石を磨いたものとほとんど見分けはつかないのだそうで、一度お店の方に見分け方を聞いたところ「値段ですね。」とひとこと。・・・じゃあ、練り物でも高く売られている場合は見分けられないんだろうか？
どなたかトルコ石の見分け方に詳しい方、ご教授下さい。★★★

ペンダントトップの石は4,5cm x 3,5cmというかなりの大型で、なぜかうねりのあるカットでした。うねりに合わせて枠の後ろに窓を開けました。石だけでも結構重さがあるので枠はミニマムなデザインに。

リングにした石は裏側にうっすらと母岩もついていて、とってきた原石をそのまま磨いたようでした。3,5cm x 2,2cmのこちらもなかなかの大型。この色でこの大きさだときっと高価だったのでは、と思わずにいられません。大きな石にはリング部分もしっかりとしたものを。

石をお預かりしてのご注文は毎回、素敵な石に巡り会えるので作り手としてはとてもありがたいことだと思います。特に今回のような「遠い異国の地」からやってきた石というのは、なんだかロマンがあって私もその度のお裾分けをいただいたような気分になります。

It has been a while since the last time I wrote... I should do this more frequently otherwise people will forget about me.. :P

These jewelries were made to order for a lady who had been to Turkey 'about twenty years ago' says she, where she bought these turquoise stones.  I was impressed for their superb turquoise blue (especially the one for the ring) and how big they were (especially the other one for the pendant).
Quite many of cheaper turquoise stones are made of paste, they are not synthetics as long as they are made of real turquoise, however they have less value than those are made from cut and polished ores.  Although when they are finished so well that you can hardly tell that it is made of paste.  Once at the stone shop the seller told me that the only way to distinguish the paste turquoise from the 'authentic', is 'the price'...  For me this seems a bit unreliable, if you know any better way please let me know!

The stone used for a pendant top is 4,5cm x 3,5cm, in a wavy shape.  I made the frame with four windows on its back to fit the dents.

And the other stone used for a ring is 3,5cm x 2,2cm, came with its mother stone slightly on its back.  For this precious color and the size, I assume that this stone should have cost pretty much...  mmm.


I always enjoy to make jewelries to order, for me it is an exciting opportunity to meet beautiful stones and especially if they are brought from a far, oversea country like these turquoise, it gives me a romantic feelings as if I experienced the same voyage.

Hace un poco de tiempo desde la última entrada ... Debería escribir más a menudo antes de que me olvidan .. :P
Estas joyas las hice para un encargo para una señora que había viajado a Turquía "hace unos veinte años" decía ella, fue donde y cuando compró estas turquesas preciosas. Me impresionó por su excelente color azul turquesa (especialmente el del anillo ) y lo grandes que eran (sobre todo el otro para el colgante ) .
Mayoría de las turquesas que venden más baratos están hechos de pasta, no son sintéticos mientras que están hechos de polvos de la turquesa real, pero tienen menos valor que los que están hechos de la autentica piedra, tallándola y puliéndola. Aunque a veces están terminados tan bien que casi no se puede decir que está hecho de una pasta.  Una vez me dijo la vendedora de las piedras (que la conozco bien) que la única manera de distinguir la turquesa hecha de pasta de la "auténtica", es "el precio". ... Esto me ha parecido poco fiable, si alguien sabe otra manera mejor por favor infórmame!
La piedra usada para el colgante mide 4,5 cm x 3,5 cm, en la forma ondulada. He abierto cuatro ventanitas detrás, siguiendo a su forma.

Y la otra piedra usada para el anillo es de 3,5 cm x 2,2 cm, venía con una capa finita de la piedra de la madre detrás de ella. Por su color tan azul y el tamaño, no puedo evitar de imaginar que esta piedra debe haber costado bastante ... mmm.
Siempre me encanta hacer joyas por encargo, para mí es una gran oportunidad para conocer a las piedras preciosas y sobre todo si son traídos de una tierra tan lejos como estos turquesa, me da un sentimiento romántico como si yo hubiera hecho el mismo viaje.

SPORE ブレスレット★

 

ジュエリーができあがったとき、すぐに名前が浮かぶものと浮かばないものがあるのですが、このブレスは後者。作っている時から「ブツブツブレス」と呼んでいたのですが、それを商品名にするわけにもいかず。色々頭をひねったあげく「SPOREブレスレット」にしたのですが、何か別にいい名前がありましたら教えて下さい！「SPORE」 とは胞子のことです。

真鍮とレザーでできています。

レザー部分は細いレザーひもを束ねて編んであります。やわらかいレザーなので着けた時にしっくりとなじみます。

メンズ用に少し違うバージョンも作る予定です。

This bracelet is called "SPORE Bracelet" as the chain part reminds me spores.  Although I am not 100% convinced with this name,  so please let me know via mail or facebook if you have any better idea...☺

It is made of brass and braided leather, the leather is quite soft and fits very good on wrist. 

There will be a men's version, sooner as possible!

Este brazalete se llama "SPORE Bracelet" como la parte de la cadena me recuerda esporas. Aunque no estoy 100% convencido con este nombre, (no soy muy buena para poner nombres) así que por favor, si tenga alguna idea mejor enviemelo por mail o facebook... ☺

Está hecho de latón y cuero trenzado, el cuero es muy suave y se adapta muy bien en la muñeca.

Haría otra versión para chicos, más prontito posible!

全長7cmで、水晶がキラキラと光るので存在感があります。パーティーシーンに最適★

Ice Flowerの方は比較的、初期のものですが最近また新規のお客様からご注文をいただいたのでなんとなくリバイバル。再登場です。
そこでふと別バージョンを作ってみたくなり、ドクロを入れたのが下のSkull Flowerです。
ドクロは小さいので毒々し過ぎないかと思います。

A long, classical pair of earrings with crystal quartz and silver.  

They are about 7cm long and quite showy as the stones of crystal quartz shine finely.  Best for parties or night scenes★ 

Actually, Ice Flower Earrings are one of the first collections, but recently I had an order for them from my new client which made me to "revive" these earrings.

Taking this opportunity I made a different version with mini-skulls, called "Skull Flowers".

I think they are not too "goth" as the skulls are quite small.

『オディッセイア』

先日、 千葉県の都賀で開催中のどんぐり展を見た帰り、同じ建物の4Fにある『小池辰雄記念図書室』というところにお邪魔しました。

小池辰雄さんという方はドイツ文学者、詩人 、キリスト教徒でいらっしゃったそうで、この図書室には小池さんの蔵書が保管されています。主にドイツの本が多く、ドイツ語が読めない私にとっては外見を眺めるしかないんですが。。。それでも布張りの古書は見ているだけでわくわくするもの。うろうろしていたらダンテの『神曲』を発見。中をぱらぱらと開いてみると素敵なイラストが。

家に帰ってから調べてみるとこれは18世紀のイギリス人の彫刻家、John Flaxmanという人の作品だということがわかりました。

彫刻家ならでは？のすっきりとしたアウトラインのみのイラスト。線はミニマムなのにデッサンは完璧。見入ってしまいました！この人の画集、欲しいなあ。

下は同じくFlaxmanのイラストで『オディッセイア』の挿絵。美しいですよね〜。

I have been at "Tatsuo Koike Memorial Library" in Tsuga, Chiba.  

Tatsuo Koike was a professor of German literature, poet and christian. 

The library was established for the purpose to store his collection of huge amount of books.  The books are mainly German, which I am not able to read, however it was worth to look at only their covers beautifully bound in cloth... 

So I was wandering among the bookshelves and found Dante's "Divine Comedy", by paging through it I found that the book was full of interesting illustrations!

Later when I got home, I found out that the illustration was done by an English sculptor named John Flaxman.   

His drawing are with fewer outlines but in accurate composition, probably it is typical of sculptors.  

Astonishing, aren't they?

He estado en la  "Biblioteca Memorial de Tatsuo Koike" en Tsuga, Chiba. 

Tatsuo Koike era profesor de la literatura alemana, poeta y cristiano.

La biblioteca fue fundada con el propósito de almacenar su colección de gran cantidad de libros.  Los libros son principalmente alemanes, que no soy capaz de leer, aun así valió la pena mirar aunque sólo las portadas, los libros antiguos siempre me hacen ilusión...
 

Así pasaba un rato vagando los libros, de repente encontré el "Divina Comedia" de Dante, lo saqué de la estantería y pasando las páginas, he descubierto que el libro estaba lleno de ilustraciones interesantes!

Luego cuando llegué a casa, he buscado más info del libro y me enteré que la ilustración eran de John Flaxman, un escultor inglés.
 

Se ve que el trabaja con mínimos trazos, pero en la composición exacta. Quizá es típico de los escultores.  

Asombrosos... ¿no?

シェルシリーズ★

まだまだ残暑が続いていますが、ふと気づくと風が秋らしくなってきている気がします。

さて、前回はシェルxシルバーチェーンリング をご紹介いたしましたが今回はお揃いのピアスと合わせてシリーズで★
石部分の大きさは約12 x 10mmです。
石はチェーンリングの小さい白色のものと同じです。ピンクでも作りたいのですがこの大きさの石がないんです。。。
石は白蝶貝に水晶が貼ってあるものです。下の貝が光線によって微妙に色を変えるのが水晶を透かして見えて、きれいです。

三番目の写真ではピアスが少し下向きになっていますがこれはピアス立ての穴が大きいためです。耳に着用する際にはきちんと前向きになりますのでご心配なく！

Tokyo is still hot, but sometimes we have fresh breeze which makes feel like that autumn is right there.

Last time I wrote about new shell+silver chain rings, this time I would like to show you a pair of pierce earrings to go with. ☺☺☺

These stones are same as the smaller stone which is used on the ring.  The part of stone is aprox. 12 x 10mm (with rim).

I wanted to make one with pink shells but they don't make them... shame.
The sotne is made with white lipped pearl oyster (mother of pearl) and quartz stuck on it, so it can be seen the shell changes its color through the quartz, it's really pretty.

In the third pic it seems that the earrings are bit 'looking down', this is because the holes of the stand is too big for them, if they are worn on ears they stay fine!

Hace mucho calor todavía en Tokio, aunque a veces me fijo en las brisas ya se ha cambiado el aire, otoño está cerca.

En la última entrada he escrito sobre los anillos de la ostra de perla y cadenas de plata, hoy me gustaría presentar los pendientes de conjunto. ☺☺☺

Las piedras son las mismas que la piedra más pequeña del anillo.  La parte de la piedra mide aprox, 12 x 10mm.

Quería hacer en el color rosa, pero no las fabrican...una lastima.
La piedra está hecho con la ostra de perla (pinctada) y cuarzo pegado encima.  Se ve que la concha cambia su color a través del cuarzo, es muy bonito.

En la tercera foto los pendientes parecen que están un poco caídos, eso es porque los agujeros del expositor son muy grandes, pero quedan bien en las orejas, así que no se preocupen!

Pronto estarán en las tiendas de online!

New Rings!! チェーン・リング登場★

 

先月の展示会で発表した新作のリングです。
写真が展示会の時に撮ったものなので少々画像が荒いのですが・・・。

リング部分がチェーンになっている珍しいデザインです。
サイズはチェーンの絡まり具合によって変わるので、半フリーサイズです。
厳密には11-15号くらいだと思います。

トップはシェル（正確にはシェルの土台に水晶を貼ったもの）です。
ピンクとホワイトの二色ですが、ホワイトは小さい石と大きな石の二種類があります。

New rings which were presented as new collection at IFF fashion trade show last month.

The rings are made with silver chains, they are almost free size but best fit between size #11-15.

They have shell (shell + quartz to exact) on the top, pink or white, and only for white color there are small and large stone. 

They will be available soon at online shops.

Anillos nuevos que estaban presentados como una parte de la colección nueva en IFF fashion trade show del mes pasado.

Perdone que las fotos estaban tomadas en la feria y tampoco pixeladas.

Estan hechos con las cadenas de plata y son bastante flexibles de la talla, pero queda mejor entre #11-15.

Lleva concha (ostras de perla + cuarzo) de color rosa o blanca, para el color blanca hay piedra pequeña y grande.

Pronto estarán en la venta en las tiendas online.

 先週、7/17-19日にビッグサイトで開催された合同展示会IFFのブースイメージです。
今回は3x6mのスペースをランジェリーデザイナーのHAVIENAさんとシェア。
ベースカラーはカーペットのピンクにブラックという甘過ぎない大人女性をイメージした配色にしました。
お花は花梅東京さん。今回もお世話になりました☆

I have been presenting at IFF (International Fashion Fair) Tokyo together with a lingerie designer (and a good friend of mine!) HAVIENA , these are the image of our stand.

We had a large space of 3x6m this time, the combination of pink x black color makes a sexy&cool scene.  Romantic flower decorations by Hanaume-Tokyo (we appreciate for your collaboration,  thank you a bunch!).

This 2 days event is held by Creema, one of the biggest online markets with handmade products (just like etsy) in Japan.

The event is open for everyone, so please feel free to come & enjoy!
Not only the creators' shops, there are live music and live painting etc.!

It is terribly hot these days, so I would definitely recommend to take a water-bus from Hamamatsu-cho (Hinode sanbashi), its freshy and you can enjoy seeing Odayba crossing Tokyo bay.

天然石、金属、レザーなど、異素材を組み合わせるシリーズOMNIに新しいブレスレットが登場です。
編んだレザーをベースにシルバーチェーンと淡水パールを重ねたデザインになります。留め具にはこのシリーズのシンボルでもある、真鍮の鍵のパーツを使っています。

シルバーチェーンにはロジウムめっきを施してあるので変色の心配はありません。

New bracelet from OMNI series! 

The concept of OMNI is to make a piece with varied materials such as; natural stones + metal + leather.

This bracelet is made of braided leather, silver chains, fresh water pearls and brass made key head for the catch part (this piece is typical of OMNI series).

The silver chains are plated with rhodium, so no need to worry about the change of the color.

This piece is rocky but not too much, as the pearl adds a touch of elegance to it.

Nueva pulsera de la serie OMNI.

El concept de OMNI es, realizar una pieza con los materiales variados como; piedras naturales + metal + cuero.

Esta pulsera está hecho con cuero trenzado, cadenas de plata, perlas de agua dulce y una pieza de latón para el cierre, (era una parte de la llave antigua ha hecho algo simbólico para está serie).

Las cadenas de plata están bañadas en rodio, así que al principio no tienen que preocupar por el cambio del color.

Es una pieza "roquera" pero no demasiado, la perla le da un toque de elegancia a ella.
